Great places to eat in Wrexham

Great places to eat in Wrexham

When you’re new in town, it can be hard to know where the best spots for lunch or a meal out are.

We’d like to help you out by suggesting a few great places that aren’t too far away from campus.

Looking for somewhere to eat and have a few drinks?

Head to: The Fat Boar

If you’re on a budget, pop in between 12-7pm for their 12:19 menu where you can get 2 courses for £10 or 3 for £13. Or if you head there on a Friday or Saturday night, chances are you’ll find some live music from great local bands and singers.

Looking for something super healthy?

Head to: Skinny’s

Healthy lunches on the go can be hard to come by. Which is why Skinny’s is so refreshing. Serving up fresh, healthy meals with quality ingredients - pick your protein, veg and carbs and you’re good to go!

Looking for an independent coffee shop?

Head to: King St coffee

King Street Coffee is relatively new to the scene – opening 18 months ago – but has achieved a lot in that time! They’ve opened a second coffee shop on Bank Street and have recently been added to the North and North Wales Independent Coffee Guide. Great stuff.

Looking for cakes with a difference?

Head to: Emzcakes

Emzcakes do the most amazing sweet treats including fab cupcakes, cakeshakes and afternoon tea. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then this is definitely the place for you!

So try these out for starters when you get here. But it’s also great to go out and explore different places for yourself. There are plenty more fab restaurants, cafes and bars around Wrexham.

And don’t forget! If you need to stay close by, our catering facilities have had a complete revamp for 2017, offering new menus across the campus. Give them a try too!
