Best Black Friday deals for students

Best Black Friday deals for students

So today is the day that everyone goes completely shopping crazy, riots break out in store and every single online retailer will expect their website to crash at least once during the day.

Yes, welcome to Black Friday!

Black Friday is just another one of those things that we’ve adopted from our friends across the Atlantic.  Taking place the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, retailers have traditionally open their doors ridiculously early, offering exceptional promotional deals and discounts.  It’s a little bit like the Boxing Day sales but in the US it’s regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

The online retailer Amazon were one of the first retailers to introduce the concept of Black Friday to the UK and since then more and more stores have come on board, offering some amazing deals for just a limited period in the last week of November.

With only four weeks to go until Christmas day, it’s a great time to grab some bargains – whether it’s you’re buying gifts for your family and friends or you just want to treat yourself to an early Christmas present.

We’ve taken a look at some of the student-friendly offers that you might want to pop on your Christmas list this year!

Looking for a decent performing tablet, but don’t quite have the funds for an iPad?  Amazon have reduced their 8GB Fire tablets to an amazing £29.99.  They come in a range of vibrant colours, and come with both front and rear cameras (perfect for selfies!).  An ideal buy for students who may want the convenience of a tablet, but don’t want to carry around something more valuable.

Philips noise-cancelling headphones

Trying to study but your housemate insists of listening to their thrash metal collection on repeat?
Then get yourself a pair of these wireless noise cancelling headphones, which have been reduced from £89.99 to just £34.99.   They connect with your Apple of Android smartphone too so you can make calls hands-free.
