“Paramedics provide high quality clinical care and treatment to patients in a pre-hospital environment including clinical interventions and invasive techniques such as intubation, cannulation, IV injections, defibrillation and other advanced diagnostic and treatment procedures where necessary” (Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, 2021).

 

This course:

  • Is designed around a spiral curriculum, recommended by the College of Paramedics
  • Allows learners to incorporate knowledge, skills and behaviours to enable them develop effectively from year one where students will be able to demonstrate competence, to year three where students will be able to critically evaluate and synthesise knowledge and apply it to practice.
  • Can improve student’s employability and future employment prospects.
  • In partnership with WAST, includes placements across the whole of North Wales, supported by Practice Educators.
