The two year blended learning course represents a new approach to qualifications in the library and information area and is unique in its delivery based on four module delivery weeks each calendar year - linked by work based learning.
The course has a strong practical component in modern librarianship and equips you with a variety of professionally relevant skills. You will develop the in-depth knowledge of library and information services essential in a profession revitalised by the digital age, and high-level skills in the organisation, management and retrieval of information using modern tools. You will also gain an understanding of the principles of information science and how this informs the design, implementation and evaluation of library and information services.
