Wrexham Glynd┼Ár University wants to help equip and prepare you and your business, no matter how large or how small, for the cyber security challenges you face.

The HNC and HND Cyber Security courses are delivered via blended learning and are designed for busy individuals and company employees to be able to flexibility study and develop a baseline of knowledge and skills in this crucial area.

Course content is delivered in blocks of between 5 and 6 months in duration. The course is delivered via a blended learning mode. This means that students will be able to study and engage with tutors both using online methods as well as face-to-face classroom activities. This provides flexibility for those already working, meaning that learning can take place any day and time of the week. In addition, 3 hours of direct tutor contact is provided to students each week of the course delivery and this is facilitated either electronically by video and teleconferencing (such as Skype) or by arranging evening meetings and tutorials in the evenings.

In each block there are four face-to-face sessions that take place on a weekend to allow all students to come together with their tutors for scheduled learning and assessment activities.

Cyber Security is a rapidly expanding area with exciting career opportunities. Digitally enabled technologies and services support most aspects of modern life, including mobile phones, tablets, computers, televisions, home automation systems, bank accounts, healthcare, and education. Ensuring that this information is safe, and that services are kept running, is the responsibility of cyber security practitioners and computer security experts. This programme aims to develop cyber security awareness and knowledge in IT practitioners to prepare them to deal with these challenges.
