BA (Hons) Fine Art
I applied to Wrexham Glyndwr because of the tutors, the small classes and the great studio space. I also chose Wrexham Glyndwr because of John McClenaghen. His teaching is straight forward and all about education.
I would definitely recommend the course to anyone. It is a lovely environment with proper one to one support from the tutors. There is the opportunity to be completely creative and to also use proper studio space.
The course also provided an introduction to local galleries and the opportunity to take part in exhibitions. This really helped to increase my confidence. The course doesn’t just give you practical teaching experience, but also experience of the real world as well. Having the opportunity to take part and help out at shows helped me to gain valuable industry experience.
My favourite memory of Wrexham Glyndwr is actually the first week. The atmosphere was magical. I made lots of friends who will remain friends for life.
My goal is of course to be an artist, but to also be a lecturer in Fine Art Photography. Who knows, maybe one day I might do my PhD. During the final degree show, it was suggested that I consider applying to the Slade School of Art in London. I haven’t decided whether to do that or do an MA here at Wrexham Glyndwr. The course has provided me with lots of options and opportunities for the future.
