Owain Glyndwr Society Prize for Alumni
What is it?
In 2010 Wrexham Glyndŵr University received a donation of a silver salver from the Owain Glyndŵr Society. The Salver is awarded at the annual graduation ceremony to an alumnus of the university, for outstanding contributions in any of the following fields;
- the promotion of learning and education
- the promotion of learning and education through the medium of Welsh
- the promotion of Wales
- enhancing international links
- enterprise and innovation
Alumni can nominate themselves or can be nominated by another individual* or organisation. Anyone making a nomination will be required to provide reasons for their nominations on the Nomination form.
Completed forms can be emailed to email@example.com or posted to the address on the bottom of the form.
* who does not need to be an alumnus of Glyndŵr University
The deadline for entries in the 2016/17 academic year is 8 September 2017, with the winner being contacted in early October 2017. Any queries should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org

Why is it awarded?
We are proud to have named our university after a man who cherished learning, loved his country, embraced an international outlook, and constantly demonstrated an inspiring and enterprising approach to life. His spirit lies at the heart of Glyndŵr University and that is why this prize is awarded in his honor.
