After working in a health spa for four years, Ewa decided to further her career by studying our BSc Rehabilitation & Injury Management. This is her story:

Before I came to university I was working in a health spa, where I was practising and improving my skills and constantly expanding my knowledge. After four years working there, I decided it was time for me to step forward, and that’s why I decided to apply for the Rehabilitation and Injury Management degree at Wrexham Glyndwr University.

I love the clinic, I’m a hands-on person, I love to see gained knowledge being put into practice. I love the interaction with my clients and seeing how the therapists can improve their health and wellbeing.

The support from the lecturers and the other staff has been great, they’re always there for us, they’re very flexible regarding an appointment or help. There’s plenty of support from the university as well, academic skills, disability team are great, so yeah, I really enjoy it.

I’m hoping to get a job where I can gain more knowledge and expand and improve my skills helping my patients. Also, I would like to continue my career and apply for a masters in physiotherapy.

It has a great location for going out and about, great facilities and people are very supportive.
