Tom is a lecturer on the BSc Sport, Health and Performance Science, BSc Football Coaching and the Performance Specialist and BSc Sport Coaching for Participation and Performance Development programmes, where his main area of expertise is Sport, Health and Performance Psychology.

After completion of a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Psychology, Tom went on to complete an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology in 2011, at the University of Central Lancashire.

Following a period in education, Tom went on to support local football clubs including Shrewsbury Town and Newtown Football Club, as well as assisting local golf academies seeking psychological guidance.

In 2016, Tom enrolled on the Qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology to complete the journey to chartered status as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.

Since 2016, Tom has been working at Leicester City Football Club, playing an integral role providing psychological provision to all academy players. Within the last year, Tom has specified support to the Professional Development Phase & Premier League 2 squads. Additionally, Tom works as a consultant in Professional Golf, alongside Winning Golf Mind, providing a range of psychological services to European Tour Golfers and elite amateurs.

Tom joined the Sport and Exercise Sciences team at Glyndwr in 2018, and hopes to pass on applied sport and performance psychology experience to upcoming graduates seeking a career in sport, exercise and physical activity.
