Pauline describes herself as a passionate design educator/designer who loves working with young people and shaping their career paths in the design industry. She is actively involved in the roles of External Examiners for the following centres at the University of Wolverhampton, TCAT/Telford, Salford University/Manchester College and working with the Open University/Hull where she is able to support her peers in the education sector and share good practise from her own setting and experiences.
Pauline’s personal research interests involve exploring the subject of sustainable in the environment within her own practice.
She is involved in an on-going research projects that relate to the vocational industries and networking through social media.
There is a human desire to connect with others and make new friends in the industry who share similar interests and experiences. The overwhelming activity with social media is centered a round people sharing and discussing good practice from around the world.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to travel to the colder climates of the world in search of adventure and to experience different cultures.
What’s your favourite book?
My favourite book is entitled Neither here nor there/Bill Bryson.

Which career would you choose to go into if you weren’t in this job?
If I wasn’t employed in education then I would love to have a job working as a Senior Art director for The Chase (Manchester).
