I have been in the nursing profession since qualifying as an RGN in 1998. In clinical practice have worked in the acute sector as a surgical nurse and since 2002 I have worked in the community. Initially I was a community nurse then following completion of my District Nursing specialist award I progressed to being a District nursing sister and Team Manager. I held this post for over 12 years. In 2014 I was honored to receive the Queens Nurse award for my dedication to community practice. Since April 2017 I have worked as a Practice Educator Facilitator.

Currently in my final year of my Masters in health care and leadership. My dissertation subject involves examining nurses’ perceptions regarding reporting of pressure ulcers in the community sector.
