Andy worked for North Wales Police for over 30 years in a variety of roles as a constable.  From response policing to community policing, control room operator to detective and finally as a trainer for detectives he has a wide range of experience and skills.

Andy specialised as an interviewer whilst working as a detective on the Force Major Incident Team and was involved in all murder and serious crime investigations for a number of years.  He brings the skills required for investigations, interviewing and problem solving to the degree course along with an enthusiasm for policing. 

Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development  from OCR

Andy has worked at the University for 18 months as a lecturer on the BA(Hons) Policing Degree and is looking forward to developing the new BSc(Hons) Professional Policing degree with the College of Policing.  Andy has also recently applied to become a Special Constable with North Wales Police to maintain the close links with the police service, keep his skills current and assist those students who become special constables to understand their role from a personal perspective.
