Alison Williams
Senior Lecturer Nursing
Prior to my nursing career I worked for 10 years for financial brokers arranging mortgages and life insurance. Having always wanted to be a nurse I decided that I needed to change direction.
I did my nurse training in Liverpool and then came to Glyndŵr to undertake my District Nursing qualification – little did I know that I would return a number of years later to teach on the programme.
What do you do in your spare time? Having recently moved house much of my spare time has been taken up with DIY and exploring the new area. I am a keen e-bayer and love to shop for bargains.
Do you have any pets? I adore animals and have a very spoilt cocker spaniel called Max. He's not the friendliest dog but that just adds to his character.
What would your second career choice be? I have often wondered what I would have been if not a nurse and my second career choice would have been that of a vet.
