Abigail Schwarz
Senior Lecturer in Education
Abi is from a primary education background and has taught in schools in Kirklees, West Cheshire and Shropshire. She has worked across the primary phases, led a resource provision for children with complex moderate learning difficulties and has extensive experience in Key Stage 2.
From 2014 – 2019, Abi was Assistant Head at a school in Shropshire, leading curriculum development, mentoring trainees and NQTs. Abi’s philosophy of practice is to cultivate a culture of creative teaching and learning. She has a keen interest in making learning creative and engaging and breaking down barriers to learning through innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
In 2019 Abi began a new career at Wrexham Glyndŵr University, as a mathematics specialist in the field of teacher education.
Abi enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her family, as well as Tae Kwon Do and swimming.
