Our sports centre is situated at the heart of our Wrexham campus. It is one of the premier sporting venues in North Wales and plays host to major events throughout the year. Not just sport either - the centre plays host to jobs fairs, UCAS events and the hugely popular Wales Comic-Con proving we're serious about the part we play in University and Community life.
Our venues are available to hire by students, staff and members of the public. Email email@example.com for more info.
The Sports Centre houses a 1000sq. m. hall, with a top-quality maple strip sprung floor.
The hall is overlooked by an open balcony and an enclosed spectator area on the first floor. The facility complies with national competition standards for badminton, netball, basketball, volleyball, futsal and handball
We also have provision for table tennis and matting for martial arts.
On the first floor of the facility is a purpose-built sprung floor dance studio. Its modern lighting, mirrored wall and professional sound system provides an excellent home for our many fitness classes.
The dance studio may also be hired out as a meeting room or classroom holding 30 with equipment available on request.
Our Fitness Suite is open to students, staff and community users with trained staff on-hand to offer support and advice when required.
It has a cardio area including bikes, treadmills, cross trainer and rowers and a resistance equipment area including an Olympic bar and a selection of free weights.
