Spanish language evening courses in Wrexham

Learning any new language is a fun and rewarding experience. And learning Spanish is no exception. 
In fact, of all the languages you can learn, Spanish is an especially great choice. Spanish is the official language in over 20 countries around the world. So it'll open doors whether you want to work, travel or live abroad. 
Even if you decide to learn and stay at home, learning Spanish (or any language) is:

What will you study?

Spanish Beginner level (CEFR A1)

This class is aimed at students who have no previous knowledge of the language.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • exchange simple greetings
  • introduce themselves and other people
  • Give personal information about family, job or studies, where they live
  • Give the same information about other people
  • Use numbers 1-100, express dates, time, prices
  • Shop for food and clothes
  • Order meals and drinks
  • Give directions
  • Talk about the weather
  • Use the present tense of regular verbs and of some irregular verbs for example ser, estar, tener, poner etc

Spanish Elementary/Lower Intermediate level (CEFR A2)

This class is aimed at students who have completed the Spanish Level A1 evening class or who have an equivalent amount of previous knowledge.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe daily routine / family life
  • Describe food and health issues
  • Describe leisure interests
  • Describe places where to live (flats, houses, cities, countryside)
  • Describe the world of work
  • Find out about Spanish history: transition from dictatorship to democracy
  • Use a range of prepositions
  • Talk about events / activities in the future
  • Talk about events / activities in the past (both regular and irregular verbs)

Fees

• £210 for non-Wrexham Glyndŵr University students and staff
• £50 for Wrexham Glyndŵr University students and staff.

Credits

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive 20 UK HE credits (10 ECTS)
