Introduction to Games: Level Design
This is a short course offering an affordable and challenging opportunity to understand game design and generate a playable version using Unreal Engine 4 software. The class size is limited to ensure you have access to the tutor as you learn about the different components that make game level design enjoyable and enthralling to play.
What will you study?
This course will introduce you to some of principle operations of software used to develop game play and will incrementally build your knowledge of a systematic approach to realising your ideas on screen. The sessions will include aspects of research and development as you bring ideas to the construct of game playing. Each game will have player levels for you to conceive and regulate, as your game introduces opportunities for players to advance through your levels of game play. Static meshes will introduce basic kinetic actions on screen and atmosphere will be generated to add excitement to the environment you create for players.
