Getting Started with Games: 3-D Modelling
This is a short course offering an affordable way to build your design skills for Gaming. This course is ideal if you are interested in creating virtual models and the environments surrounding them. The class sizes are limited to give you access to help and guidance when you need it, as you bring your ideas to the workshops for development.
What will you study?
This course will introduce you to Photoshop and Maya software as you begin the process of modelling forms and determining a viewpoint. When the basic form is modelled you will learn how to adapt the objects qualities and characteristics as you explore the modelling tools available in the software. To develop your skills you will have opportunity to replicate a photograph using your knowledge of virtual modelling techniques and to test your skills. Finally you will learn how to chart your design process and present your work to a professional standard.

The port-folio of work accumulated during the short course can be presented for assessment providing 10 HE credits.
This fee covers 10 weeks attendance and tutorage, including assessment.
