What will you study?

German Beginner level (CEFR A1)

This class is aimed at students who have no previous knowledge of the language.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Communicate and exchange information in a simple way.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases, Introduce themselves and ask and answer questions about personal information such as where someone lives, what someone does for a living etc.

German Elementary/Lower Intermediate level (CEFR A2)

This class is aimed at students who have completed the German Level A1 evening class or who have an equivalent amount of previous knowledge.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Deal with simple, straightforward information and begin to express themselves in familiar contexts, understanding sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
  • Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring an exchange of information on familiar matters and have the ability to describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

£210 for non-Wrexham Glyndwr University students and staff

£50 for Wrexham Glyndwr University students and staff.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive 20 UK HE credits (10 ECTS)
