Wrexham Glyndwr University is based in north east Wales. Our main campus in Wrexham is ideally located to give students a great experience of studying in the UK. Wrexham is a vibrant and safe town with plenty to see and do. Being only an hour from the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester but also having beautiful scenery, heritage and outdoor activities right on the doorstep gives students the ability to have it all.
We offer vocationally relevant courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a wide range of subjects including business, engineering, science, computing and the creative arts. Our career-focused facilities give students the ability to apply their knowledge and learn from practising their skills. Students are also given opportunities to engage with industry and showcase their work in competitions and exhibitions.

Academic Entry requirements
These are examples of the qualifications that we may accept from your country. These lists are not exhaustive and may not show all qualifications that we will accept. All applications are subject to approval.
Foundation or Extended programme
High School Graduation Diploma: Successful completion including good passes in Maths for Engineering programmes. This includes students who are studying in a US school system overseas. Such students would not normally be required to provide evidence of English language level. Note that if the student has completed SATS I plus either SATS II or APs, they may be eligible to enter the International Year One.
For entry onto Year 1:
High School Diploma with a grade-point average of 3.0/4.0. plus one of the following:
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) 1290 minimum including the following minimum scores in each component, (Reading and Writing 650) and (Math 640)
- American College Testing (ACT) with a minimum of 26
- two advanced placement tests with a minimum score of 3
Advanced entry to undergraduate:
You may be considered for advanced entry to year 2 of the degree with a minimum grade-point average of
2.8 from an Associate Degree provided that you have taken the relevant subjects
Four-year degree from an accredited university with a grade-point average of 2.6
English entry requirements
US nationals are not required to demonstrate additional English language testing as part of the entry requirements.
