ENGLISH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To meet the English Language Entry Requirements at Wrexham Glyndwr University, International students are expected to have achieved one of the qualifications listed below. All certificates/qualifications accepted are assessed based on their equivalence to 6.0 overall and a minimum of 5.5 in each component of the IELTS for UKVI (Academic) test. Selected programmes require grades equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each skill score.
If you are a national of a UKVI Approved Majority English Speaking Country or you have completed a degree in a UKVI Approved Majority English Speaking Country in the last 5 years you will be exempt from meeting this requirement, more information can be found on https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/knowledge-of-english

We may also be able to accept alternative English language certificates from students who have studied an equivalent of A Level and above in English in a Swiss, EU or EEA Country. *We will normally accept a certificate that has been issued no longer than 3 years before the course start date, this decision will however be made on an individual basis.
