Wrexham Glyndŵr University Open Day, Sat, June 10 10am-2pm
Below is typical open day timetable, however June's open day schedule will be confirmed nearer the time.
Registration 10.00am – 12.30pm (the University will remain open to visitors until 2.00pm)
Academic staff will be available in the sports hall from 10.00am to 2.00pm
- Science department providing tours of lab facilities.
- Complementary Medicine students providing free hand massage.
- Tutors from Creative Media Technology showcasing our TV, Sound and Music Technology facilities within the Centre for Creative Industries.
- Education tutors offering visitors the chance to try an online e-learning module.
- Find out more about our Merlin flight simulator and the home of Glyndwr Racing in our Engineering Department.
- 1-to-1 advice on student funding and welfare matters
General Campus Tours depart every 30 minutes from the Sports Centre, beginning at 10am.
Enquiries and Admissions team will be on hand to offer advice on Personal Statements and Interview Guidance.
Animal & Equine programmes will be showcased at our Northop campus, which will be open from 10am-2pm
Representatives from Wrexham Glyndwr SU, including societies and sports teams will be available from 10.00am to 2.00pm in the Student Lounge.

Disability Support will be available to provide one-to-one advice and guidance.
The Careers Centre is open for drop-in advice and guidance.
"Introduction to North Wales Business School" presentation takes place at 10.30am, in our 1887 Restaurant.
Interactive group sessions will take place throughout the day as well as 1-to-1 interviews which will take place in B108

12.15pm Portfolio Surgery
An informal conversation/Q&A with the Head of School for applicants wishing to know more about how to put together a great application portfolio - with some top tips on how to present and discuss your work, advice on general and specific art, media and design-related topics, and whether you’re applying for Media, Fine Art, Applied Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, Game Art, Film and Photography or any of the other creative, arts-based courses we offer.
1.30pm Hole in the Wall Gallery
Gallery event - The first in a series of impromptu public art happenings occupying small spaces, gaps, cracks and voids in the urban fabric, the walls and streets of our town. Through everyday practices such as walking, tracing and contouring we hope to reveal the beauty of those spaces or gaps that culture has somehow forgotten or that progress has left behind.
Guided tours of the building will take place at:

NB: The art school is based just off campus, on Regent Street. Shuttle buses will be available throughout the day to take visitors between here and the main campus.
