tuition fee loans for part time students

tuition fee loans for part time students

If you’re a new part-time student you may be able to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan from the government to cover the cost of tuition.

As with full-time students, you only start to repay this as a graduate earning over £25,725.

Key Facts

  • Repayments of the tuition fee loan will start 3 years after the start of study when the income is over £25,725.
  • The money is paid directly to the university on your behalf, it is a loan so you are expected to pay it back.

  • The tuition fee loan is not available for postgraduate students.
  • After 30 years any remaining debt is written off.
