Meet our staff
Art & Design
Art and Design subjects are based mainly within the traditional home of the former North Wales School of Art and Design building at Regent Street where there is a blend of traditional studios and modern technological areas.
Creative Media Technology
Creative Media Technology comprises mainly BSc courses in TV, radio, sound and music technologies.
Whether you choose to specialise or divide your studies between the complementary subjects of history, English and creative writing you will enjoy investigating the past as well as the present and the future.
Theatre & Performance
Housed in the Terry Hands Studios and the Catrin Finch Centre, performing arts here in the School of Creative Arts combines the three dynamic areas of TV, theatre and performance.
The academic team prides itself on the supportive and friendly learning environment that it offers students.
Glyndwr University is top in Wales for graduate prospects in the areas of computer sciences and IT, according to The Times. It also boasts an award-winning computing department – judged 'world leading' in the last UK research assessment (RAE 2008).
This department covers a wide spectrum of engineering specialisms as well as leading the way with renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
There are a number of research centres and specialisms within the department and these enable the team to have a strong industry focus which translates into the opportunities that can be offered to students in this area such as industry visits and ‘live’ briefs.
