Strategic Business and Marketing Management
In recent years, sustainable business practices have been at the forefront of modern strategic business development and have a significant impact on both micro and macro elements of the businesses environment. Through socio-economic pressures and consumer demands, we are influencing the corporate giants to change their traditional, arguably old-fashioned business modus operandi and become more aware of sustainability and environmental issues as well as their individual carbon footprint.
Due to these issues, and many more, businesses are having to become innovative to remain commercially viable. New product development, regeneration and recycling of material and more environmentally friendly production and distribution methods are just a few strategies businesses are beginning to implement. The big question is: where will we be in 10 years’ time?
What you will study
- Sustainable Business Practices
- Innovation Commercialisation
These modules will consider sustainable business practices relatable to the global and not just local environments. Business in society, ethical concerns and corporate social responsibility (CSR); is it really a business’s responsibility? We will take a holistic look of entrepreneurship and how traditional practice is evolving through creativity and risk-taking. Finally, we will examine and attempt to answer the big question: which product of the future may be our salvation?
The North Wales Business School Summer School offers the above to be delivered by both academic and industry professionals with many years of experience in the field of business development and management of commercial organisations. This varied expertise helps create an experiential learning platform for students to express their creativity and work towards becoming an entrepreneur of the future.
