Would you like to get a taste of Wrexham Glyndwr University? Our Summer Schools are the perfect way to enjoy an appetiser of university life.
Held over July and August at our Wrexham campus, the Summer School offers university undergraduate-level modules with a fresh approach to the study of traditional academic subjects, or English and British Culture, and is open to both UK and non-UK students over the age of 18, whatever their background or country of residence.
If you’re thinking about applying for a full time undergraduate programme at a later date, the summer schools provide a great opportunity to sample Wrexham Glyndwr University first hand. Whether you want to build on your knowledge of an existing subject or to study something completely new, the summer school programmes typically don’t require previous knowledge so they provide an ideal chance to discover a completely new subject or study something which may be of personal interest to you.
Enjoy a unique academic and social experience on our campus situated close to the border of north-east Wales and north-west England, giving you an insight into university life with a mixture of academic lectures, study sessions and social activities. The Summer School is designed as a fully residential programme providing you with a chance to strengthen your academic, personal and transferable skills in a friendly environment where you will also be able to meet and make new friends.
Wrexham Glyndŵr University will be running Engineering and Computing summer schools this year (2018). Details of that can also be found on the Summer School website. More information about the English Language Summer School can be found here.
