Wrexham Glyndwr University is based in north east Wales. Our main campus in Wrexham is ideally located to give students a great experience of studying in the UK. We offer vocationally relevant courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a wide range of subjects including business, engineering, science, computing and the creative arts. Our career-focused facilities give students the ability to apply their knowledge and learn from practising their skills. For undergraduate entry, we require the Matriculation Examination Ylioppilastutkinoto/Studentexamen generally with an average of grade of 4/C (Cum laude approbatur) for 1st year entry.
If you have the Ammattikorkeakoulututkinto or Yrkeshögskoleexamen we will consider you for advanced entry.
We require a Kandidaatti/Kandidat or a Maisteri/Magister for postgraduate study.
For all levels of study, we’d also look for evidence of your English language ability. If you’ve taken an IELTS test, we’d look for:
- Undergraduate – 6.0 overall, with no band below 6.0. Individual bands score of 0.5 below this required total may be considered.
- Postgraduate – 6.5 overall with no band below 6.5. Individual band scores of 0.5 below this required total may be considered.
For undergraduate study, we accept a minimum of grade 4/C in English language from the Matriculation Examination. If you’ve taken another approved English language test, please contact us.
