Young Talent Academy
The North Wales Young Talent Academy aims to equip talented employees with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment. The YTA’s qualification in Leadership and management is a fifteen month programme for 18-30 year olds showing potential for future management and is delivered one day per month at the OpTIC centre in St. Asaph, and weekly online learning tasks.
The Young Talent Academy Programme is designed to be both academic and practical. There are assignments to complete, including written management reports, management case studies, and group or individual presentations, but there is also an emphasis on the practical application of management techniques, and enhancing skills to support everyday management.
The course is organised in three blocks or modules:
- The Essence of Management
- Leading a Campaign
- Breaking New Ground
This project is heavily subsidised by the European Social Fund, with an element of match funding required from each business. The match-funding element can be confirmed as follows: For small businesses of up to 49 employees, the cost is £995, £1295 for a medium sized business, and £1595 for a large business with over 250 employees.
Here is some of our recent feedback from delegates and companies alike:
“The course concept is brilliant, a huge thank you for organising such a refreshing insight into business life."
Margaret Carter, Founder of Patchword Foods & Guest Speaker
"This programme has already made me more confident in my role and made me more aware about how I approach things in a managerial manner."

The programme has further start dates to be confirmed, from early 2018 and places are limited.
