Tell us how can we help you and your business?

We recognise that different organisations will have different needs and challenges.  We promise to do all we can to help, in any way we can.  Even if that means sourcing someone else.  We will address the needs people have, not the ones we think they have.  We will listen and we will act.  In doing so, our business partners will thrive and prosper.  This is our vision.  Please take a couple of minutes to feedback to us how we can help your business better.
Many Thanks,

Thinking about getting a new qualification? You could be eligible for funding.

One of the main barriers to gaining qualifications, going back to further study or to upskilling your workforce is cost.  While we all recognise the need and the benefits which come from engaging in training, it can be hard to raise the funds needed.

This is where the InBusiness Team can help.  There are a range of funding opportunities available out there and we aim to keep our network members informed about what’s available. For more information call 01978 293985 or email in-business@glyndwr.ac.uk

Workforce Development Programme

This scheme allows businesses with more than 10 staff to access support in developing their business and addressing training needs.  The support is primarily for businesses whose customers are other businesses.

Under the scheme the business would work with one of our Workforce Development advisors free of charge.

The role of the advisor would include:

  • Reviewing the workforce strategy to ensure all staff development and training will effectively support the key aims of the business plan.
  • Specify the training and development requirements through an agreed skills development plan.
  • Review provision options by providing a skills brokerage service including introductions to the local provider network, including Further and Higher Educational Institutions, and provide on-going support, as required, to assist the implementation of the skills development plan.

The training that is defined in the development plan, is supported by a 50% contribution. This is reimbursed to the business after the training activity has been completed.

Businesses are not restricted in terms of which training providers they are able to use under this scheme.

Workforce Development Programme Direct

The scheme allows businesses to access 50% funding towards the cost of training within certain limits:-

  • Up to a maximum of £1,000 toward the cost of general training.
  • Up to a maximum of £2,000 toward the cost of specific Leadership & Management training.

Applications can be considered to support training that does not represent a statutory legal requirement.

Businesses are not restricted in terms of which training providers they are able to use under this scheme.

Leadership & Management Workshops

Through this scheme businesses can access subsidised places on Leadership & Management workshops at a rate of 70%.

These workshops are delivered by 12 contracted training providers dispersed throughout Wales.

Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) receive a 70% subsidy towards the cost of the programme, while large companies receive a 50% subsidy which dramatically reduces the cost.

Operational Level workshops (up to and including NQF level 4) cost £140 per delegate per day - an SME receiving a 70% subsidy would pay £42 per delegate per day. Strategic Level workshops (NQF level 5 and above) cost £190 per delegate per day - an SME receiving a 70% subsidy would pay £57 per delegate per day.

SMEs are classed as businesses that employ fewer than 250 staff and have a turnover of less than 50m Euros.
