Degree places still available for 2012/13 entry at Glyndŵr University
1 September 2012
Places are still available at Glyndŵr University, the most affordable place to study at higher education level in Wales.
The university’s fair fees policy, with an average cost of £6,643 for full-time undergraduate degrees in the academic year 2012-13, has seen a substantial number of students apply for places in August.
Julie Cowley, head of partnerships, recruitment and admissions, said the university’s admissions team had been inundated with calls but that all enquiries were being answered and quick decisions were being made.
A dedicated Clearing phone line has been operating, along with live web chats and an open day which saw hundreds of prospective students visit the university after A-level results day.
Julie said: “Our operators are able to give quick decisions there and then on the phone to most students.
“We have had a significant number of applications for our courses but we’re still able to take additional students for the coming academic year.
“We offer a large range of courses across the creative industries, science, engineering, healthcare and education.
“Our courses are industry led, which is one of the factors that leads to such impressive employability rates for our graduates.”
Applicants can view a full list of courses online or call 01978 293439 to speak to one of the university’s admissions officers.
We will aim to make decisions over the phone. However, there may be exceptions where, for example, a course requires an interview or audition.
