The University’s Careers and Zone team has been nominated for an Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Award.
An application was submitted to the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) by Zone Manager, Judith Alexander.
AGCAS announced that Wrexham Glyndwr shows “effective support” of start-ups and developing businesses; this included engaging students with advice and entrepreneurial development, space in the Zone enterprise lounge and academic support.
They will now battle it out with the universities of Dundee, Southampton Solent and City, University of London, for the prize.
The ceremony takes place at the University of Nottingham in September.
“We are thrilled to have been nominated and look forward to the awards,” said Judith.
“The University is renowned for its support of students and graduates who are looking to develop a business, so it’s pleasing to see us rewarded with this nomination.”
AGCAS is the professional body for careers and employability professionals working with higher education students and graduates and prospective entrants to HE.
