A Flintshire-based company co-hosted a free half-day event with Google at Glyndŵr University.

The event consisted of a series of presentations, with a focus on the digital revolution, the importance of internet marketing and how to get noticed online.

Google originally offered Pro PPC the opportunity to join them in presenting to businesses in their London-based headquarters; however, Pro PPC requested that the event be held at Glyndŵr University to make it more accessible to local businesses.

There were a total of six presentations over the day, presented by Pro PPC’s Dan Wilkinson and Stephen Wright, and Google’s Anas Dadhiwala and Tim Lingwood.

Topics included ‘The 10 Great Myths of Internet Marketing’, ‘The Power of PPC’ and ‘The Future of Search’, ending with a ‘Live Hot Seat’, where audience members asked about specific marketing problems they are experiencing, with Pro PPC offering solutions.

Dan Wilkinson, Director of Pro PPC, age 35, said: “The purpose of this event is to demonstrate the power of digital advertising; businesses in attendance should leave without a shadow of a doubt whether or not these methods are right for them.”

Anas Dadhiwala, Agency Account Strategist for Google, age 30, said: “The Pro PPC team really proved their worth today; they delivered some great presentations while upholding the highest level of professionalism throughout.

"This reiterates that they adhere to the high standards set by Google, and deserve to be a valuable member of our Google Partners portal.”

Throughout the day, both Google and Pro PPC were at hand to offer tailored advice to each business in attendance, speaking personally with attendees and providing them with information on how to gain a competitive advantage online.

Laura Gough, Business Development Executive at Glyndŵr University, age 33, said: “Glyndŵr University is always keen to work with new businesses as part of our mission to support the business community in North Wales. This was the first event we’ve hosted in conjunction with Pro PPC and hope it will be the start of many.

"Understanding the latest trends in technology and particularly Google is essential for all businesses who are looking to grow online, and we were delighted to have representatives from the world’s leading search engine here on campus in Wrexham.”

Dan Wilkinson, said: “We’re overwhelmed with the success of this event; we had some great feedback, clarifying that we really helped the businesses in the room. We’re looking forward to repeating the event next month.”

Johara Sykes-Davis, Zipworld, said: "I found the event extremely informative and well presented. A fantastic insight into the world of Google and what can be achieved by Pro PPC.”

Due to the success of Wednesday’s workshop, Pro PPC are holding a repeat event on 2nd July. Google will not be attending on this day; however their presentations will be delivered by Pro PPC. Each business in attendance will receive free AdSpend credit and light refreshments.
