Hundreds sign up for Open Day
HUNDREDS of prospective students have signed-up for a university open day.
Glyndŵr University in Wrexham will host the event on Saturday, June 1.
Academics and course leaders will be on hand to meet and discuss their programmes.
There will be a tour of facilities on campus, including the Centre for the Creative Industries, Techniquest, Centenary Club, North Wales School of Art and Design and the performance car laboratories.
The University’s new Facebook ambassadors will also be in attendance to share stories and offer an insider’s view on the student experience.
Julie Cowley, Head of Partnerships, Recruitment and Admissions, said: “More than 250 people are already set to come along on Saturday but we’d love to see more there on the day.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in studying at Glyndŵr University to visit the campus and see what we have to offer.
“Those people who are undecided may change their minds when they take a look at the new facilities and courses we are introducing in September.”
Julie added: “Glyndŵr University celebrates its fifth birthday in June. We’re all very excited about the years to come and look forward to meeting our students of the future.”
On the day there will be talks on accommodation and guidance on student fees and funding.
Minibus transport will be available from the Wrexham campus to Glyndŵr University’s Northop site and Advanced Composites Centre in Broughton.
