New business exchange to be launched

Text

Aspiring business owners, successful entrepreneurs and business educators are joining together at a new face-to-face business exchange in Wrexham.

Matchbox is being launched at Glyndŵr University as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 on Friday 15 November at 9am.

Funded by the Welsh Government and supported by the university, Coleg Cambria and the Youth Entrepreneurship Hub for North East Wales, the event provides a forum for people to explore real-life business issues.

Regular Matchbox meetings will be held throughout the year.

Judith Alexander, Zone Manager at Glyndŵr University, said: “We are passionate about encouraging our graduates to start their own businesses and the university is also here to support the local business community so Matchbox is a terrific addition to our calendar of business events.

“The aim is that these networking sessions  will be mutually beneficial for members of the business community, students and enterprise educators.

“Whether it’s just to build new contacts, get feedback on a new business idea, support with establishing a focus group for a new product or service or advice on how to access start-up funding, we are confident that Matchbox will be able to deliver.”

The launch event takes place at Restaurant 1887 at Glyndŵr University’s Wrexham campus on Mold Road.
