Hundreds attend prestigious student film festival20 February 2013
Hundreds have descended on Glyndŵr University for a prestigious student film festival.
The 2013 Ffresh festival opened at the university’s Wrexham campus with two live music sessions and a showing of a film inspired by the band The Alarm.
The Alarm’s Mike Peters featured in the evening live session, with Wrexham band Camera performing in the university’s TV studio earlier in the day.
A showing of Vinyl, inspired by The Alarm’s record-biz hoax of recording under a fictitious band name concluded the events for day one.
Stuart Cunningham, chair of Ffresh 2013, said: “Ffresh is the perfect event for us to host following our £5m investment into the Creative Industries with our new centre here on campus and it got off to a fantastic start.
“We’re hoping for more of the same for the rest of the week – finishing with the awards ceremony on Friday night.”
The festival runs until Friday 22 February at Glyndwr University's Wrexham campus.
