Free six-day graduate enterprise challenge at Glyndŵr University
05 June 2013
Potential entrepreneurs are being given the opportunity to pick up tips from experienced professionals and business leaders for free.
Glyndŵr University is hosting a Graduate Enterprise Challenge for anyone interested in starting up their own business.
The business skills boot camp will be led by professionals and entrepreneurial graduates in an informal environment.
The challenge takes place in six days spread over two weeks. Four of the days will be taught, providing participants with an introduction to business skills. One of the days will involve a team challenge, where groups will work together in a real business environment – with a winner and a loser.
The final day will see entrepreneurs present their business idea to a panel of members assembled by event organisers Wrexham County Borough Council on behalf of the Welsh Government’s Business Start Up Service.
Events will take place at Glyndŵr University or in Wrexham town centre.
A spokesperson for the Graduate Enterprise Challenge said: “Our aim is to provide budding entrepreneurs with a tool kit of information, contacts and a peer network – and to motivate them to want to start a diverse, sustainable and exciting business.
“If you have little or no experience of running a business this may appear daunting – but it’s intentional, and will feel very much like how you will feel when you take on the challenge and create a start-up.”
The business challenge will take place on 17, 18, 19, 20, 26 and 27 June 2013.
