Salary Scale O&A5 £28,451 to £32,959 (pro rata for hours worked)

This position is offered internally only, as a secondment opportunity (with agreement of current line manager). This could be an opportunity for an O & A5 to develop their skills in another area or a promotion opportunity for an O & A4 with appropriate skills and experience.
Part time position, working 1 day or 2 half days per week, for a 12 month period
The Student Procedures Officer is a post in the Regulations, Assessment & Awards Unit. Whilst gaining wide experience of academic administration, the post holder will focus on the operation of a number of procedures concerning student conduct and complaints, responsible for implementation and providing support and guidance.
The successful candidate will be a graduate or haveappropriate and significant experience of working in higher education administration. Excellent communication and written skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required. An ability to translate policies and procedures into practice and an eye for detail will be particularly relevant qualities in a successful candidate. A good knowledge of Academic Regulations and/or student procedures in higher education would also be helpful, as would diplomacy and mediation skills. The post holder will work with senior management, administrative and academic staff, the Students’ Union and students.
