Graduation 2020

In May 2020 we announced that in light of the ongoing global pandemic, we had made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Graduation Ceremonies until January 2021. We detailed that we would continue to be guided by Welsh Government advice regarding events, large gatherings and international travel and we have been closely monitoring the ever changing situation.
It is with deep regret that we have now decided to postpone this year’s Graduation ceremonies, therefore there will unfortunately be no ceremonies held in October 2020 or January 2021. As you can imagine, this decision has been based on a multitude of factors and considerations, with the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff at the core of the decision.
Whilst we are currently unable to confirm any new dates for the ceremonies, we want to provide assurance that it is our intention that students will have an opportunity to mark and celebrate their Graduation. We need to make sure that ceremonies can take place safely, in line with Welsh Government guidance, so that students can confidently celebrate their hard work and success with their friends, family and teaching staff. We can also confirm that we

Certification

Certificates are normally dispatched after the Graduation Ceremonies. This year, so that this unprecedented situation does not affect student career/ progression opportunities, we will dispatch certificates independent of the Graduation ceremonies. Once all Assessment Boards have concluded and all results have been published we will print and dispatch all certificates. This work has already commenced for those students already confirmed via the July Assessment Board process.

If the student’s place of study was in the UK, the certificate will be dispatched to the ‘home’ address that we currently hold on file. Students can log in to SITS e:Vision to check that we hold the correct ‘home’ address details. If the student’s place of study was outside of the UK, the certificate will be dispatched to the central office of the partner University and dispatch/ collection of the certificate will be arranged by the partner University. If you have any queries relating to certificates please email: certificates@glyndwr.ac.uk

New Dates

We are currently unable to confirm any new Graduation Ceremony dates as a result of the current Welsh Government guidelines and regulations. Once we are in a position to do so, we will contact students with further details, so we encourage students to regularly check both their personal and student email accounts.
