Freedom of Information requests should be addresssed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Under the Freedom of Information Act all universities are required to maintain a publication scheme. As part of that scheme Glyndŵr University has adopted the Information Commissioner's Model Publication Scheme.
In accordance with the scheme the University is committed to making the following classes of information available to the public. You can find the majority of this information on our website.
- Who we are and what we do
- Financial Information
- The University’s Priorities
- Decision makings
- Policies and procedures
- Lists and registers
- Services offered
Further information on each class is available in the Information Commissioner’s definition document for universities and other higher education institutions.
The University is also required to make available a Guide to Information giving more specific details of the information available under each class, how the information can be accessed and, where appropriate, any charges made.
The above classes of information will not generally include:
- Information which is prevented from being disclosed by law or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act or is otherwise considered to be protected from disclosure;
- Information in draft form;
- Information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files which have been placed in archive storage or is difficult to access for similar reasons.
Most of the information in the University's publication scheme is available free of charge on our website. In cases where it is impractical to make information available via the web, the University reserves the right to levy charges to cover photocopying, postage and packaging.
Most publications listed in the University's publication scheme are the copyright of Glyndŵr University. Reproduction of material supplied through the publication scheme or in response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act without obtaining the express permission of the University (or copyright holder) may be an infringement of copyright.
