Brief Biography
I am a Lecturer in the School of Electric Engineering and Computer Science at Glyndwr University. Before joining Glyndwr University, I was an IRCSET Embark Initiative Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at University College Cork. I got my PhD from the Department of Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong. I was a Visiting Research Fellow of the Network Group at the University of New South Wales and a Visiting Researcher in Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I am a member of the IEEE Computer/Communications Society, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
Research Interests
My research interests are in computer networks and communication systems, and are focused on (but not limited to):
- Multimedia networking, including QoS control, performance evaluation, admission control, and traffic control.
- Wireless multihop networking, especially wireless mesh networks and wireless sensor networks.
- Peer-to-peer networking, including peer-to-peer multicasting and location-aware network topology inference, etc.
- Parallel and distributed computing in both wired and wireless networks.
