Contracts and Collaborations

Confidential collaboration and contracts can be undertaken for companies and research organisations on a collaborative basis, when there is mutual academic interest or as a fully paid or subsidised contract in the following areas:

  • Polysaccharide characterisation and analysis
  • Comprehensive rheological studies of hydrocolloids systems
  • Food emulsions: droplet size measurements, pressure effects, stabilities, choice of formulations etc
  • Quality systems, molecular weight measurements, in commercial hydrocolloids using GPC-MALLS and FFF-MALLS
  • Modification of hydrocolloids to achieve greater functionality
  • Human and animal trials of the metabolic action of potential health supporting natural products, with emphasis on dietary fibres
  • Exploration of new opportunities for established food hydrocolloids.
