Bethan Lloyd Jones

Having graduated from UEA, Norwich, Bethan joined Coopers & Lybrand in Norwich as a trainee Chartered Accountant where she worked in the Business Services department.
Upon qualification she worked in Coopers' internal training department in London where she was responsible for writing and delivering internal courses.
In 1991 she returned to North Wales and worked for two years as a manager in a small firm of Chartered Accountants in Chester, dealing with all the financial and taxation matters for a portfolio of clients.
She joined the School of Business at Glyndŵr University in 1993 and teaches all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting, financial reporting and taxation on undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes.
Bethan is the Programme Director for the professional accounting CIMA Intermediate programme and is an academic member of Glyndŵr University’s Academic Board.
She is in the final stages of a PhD on "the economic development of the Denbighshire coalfield 1850-1914" which she anticipates will be complete in 2007. Bethan is also involved in the University’s increasing international links and has recently visited both India and China as a representative of Glyndŵr University.
