Steve RobertsBA (Hons), MA Senior Lecturer in History
Steve joined Glyndŵr University as a student on the English/History Joint Honours degree following a twenty-year career in the Civil Service. After his graduation in 1991 he undertook the MA in Local History at the University of Liverpool, which led him to develop his active research interest in nineteenth century social and political history and its impact on the everyday experience of Victorian people. He has also developed extensive interest in the historical development and influence of the media, from propaganda and documentary films in the 1930s to the representation of the past in contemporary media forms. In addition he teaches modules on the Rise of Industrialisation, Fourteenth Century England, and Historical Skills and Investigation. Steve is a member of the Institute For Learning and Teaching. |
