Elen Mai Nefydd

Elen Mai graduated in Drama at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, after which she studied for her MA in Theatre, Film and Television with particular reference to Performance and Theatre in Education.

After short periods of working as an actress with Welsh-based theatre companies and presenting on S4C, she was appointed as Lecturer in Performing Arts at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor, Dolgellau, which resulted in her becoming course co-ordinator.  During this period she gained her PGCE.

Before being appointed to the staff at Glyndŵr University she worked at Clwyd Theatr Cymru leading Drama/Educational workshops.

Elen Mai teaches a wide range of Theatre and Performance modules at Glyndŵr University, and specialises in devising and directing Theatre in Education productions with students for local schools.

She is fluent in both Welsh and English, and has written for Welsh theatre and intends to develop her writing further.
