The Institute reflects the university’s vision of marrying creative excellence with a focus on the practical needs of industry.

Employment-focused courses are aimed at harnessing and developing the talents of our students in order to produce graduates equipped to contribute innovative thinking to the creative industries.The University is supporting this approach with its new Centre for the Creative Industries. The £5m development at the Plas Coch site aims to provide a focal point for activities related to the creative industries, promoting greater interdisciplinary collaboration and involving subjects ranging from art and design to computing and engineering.

Opened in 2011, the centre reflects Glyndŵr University’s commitment to the creative industries and their key role in economic development. It will also help develop the innovation which is already at the heart of the University’s approach to teaching and research.
