Why choose Illustration for Graphic Novels?
This new and unique course is much more than “comic book illustration”. It enables you to specialise within illustration in developing images and characters for graphic novels allowing you to gain practical experience and detailed knowledge and techniques appropriate to this area.
The degree is designed to encompass a broad range of creative skills that are vocationally orientated giving you experience and techniques which will promote a confident approach to prospective employment as illustrators in the graphic novels industry, traditional and e-publishing, newspapers, magazines and related creative industries areas such as animation and film.
You will develop your skills in character design, graphic design working with layout, colour, typography, a host of digital software packages and creative writing through this course. These skills can be put to use in a variety of roles in the creative industries.
