The BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies for Healthcare degree offers you the opportunity to develop professional preparation in methods of complementary therapy. As well as developing an understanding of complementary medicine philosophy, you will also gain knowledge of health sciences, research and therapeutic skills.

At the end of the degree you will be able to pursue a challenging and fulfilling career in aromatherapy, massage, reflexology.

Course content

BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies for Healthcare

This degree includes massage, reflexology, anatomical and physiological studies, nutrition, applied physiology, aromatherapy, clinical studies and psychology of health. You will learn about the human body and mind as well as nutrition, so that you will be able to diagnose and treat with confidence.

Entry requirements and applying

The academic requirements for this course are 240 UCAS points in relevant A level subjects or equivalent. Applications are welcome from anyone who exhibits the ability and experience to cope with the demands of the course. Before you are offered an unconditional place on this course you will be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau form and pay the appropriate fee, so that a check can be made on your suitability for working with children and/or vulnerable adults. From 2012 our general academic requirement for an honours degree will be 240 UCAS points, and for a foundation degree 120 UCAS points. If you do not have the points required your application will still be considered. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and with a range of experiences.
