How will I study?

Engagement with industry and live projects is a key part of your studies in Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Communications. We work with local and national clients, helping you to form relationships in the process of securing work experience. A combination of personal tutorials, workshops and lectures give you an academic experience that is firmly rooted in enterprise and the skills you’ll need in establishing your career as a successful media practitioner.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is based around portfolio work, formal essays, critical analysis and self-directed research. We support you through your further development of academic skills and work closely with the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning and our Plas Coch campus Careers Centre.

What facilities are available?

Glyndŵr University’s new Centre for the Creative Industries opened in 2011. This exciting new addition to the Plas Coch campus includes a state of the art television studio, editing suites and flexible spaces for meeting and creative workshops. The space fosters collaboration among our students across the creative industries - seeing creative sparks fly and new ideas grow with real momentum as students move towards successful careers as media practitioners.
