Our experience is second to none in delivering CIM marketing courses across North Wales from Certificate through to post graduate Diploma in marketing. Over the last 10 years hundreds of successful marketers have qualified from Glyndŵr University, having come from a wide variety of business backgrounds such as telecommunications, agriculture, leisure and tourism, food, transport, manufacturing to financial services. The small but dedicated teaching team are drawn both from academics as well as practicing professionals, providing depth of marketing knowledge but also experience.

Some are currently studying for degrees or postgraduate awards but recognise the competitive edge a professional qualification gives them. Others may be thinking about or just starting a career in sales or marketing and not have any formal qualifications, but want to arm themselves with the marketing skills that will help them achieve their professional development goals.
Certificate in Professional Marketing (Level 4): The Certificate level is designed for candidates who recently started working in a marketing environment who require a first stage qualification. The emphasis of the Certificate level is on practitioner skills and building a sound foundation in all major marketing concepts and theories.

Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6): The Diploma level is designed for candidates who have been awarded the Professional Certificate in Marketing or hold a degree or equivalent. Candidates who do not have the above qualifications, but are at a supervisory level and can demonstrate appropriate experience in marketing or sales can also join at this level.

NB: If your first language is not English, it is recommended by the CIM that you have a minimum standard in the use of English equivalent to the British Council IELTS band 6.

There is a level to suit everyone's career aims.
There is one assessment per module of study for Certificate and Diploma comprised of a either a 2/3 hour exam, work-based assignment or a portfolio of work.
Assessments are held 3 times a year in December, March and June
Entry requirements and applying
Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 or with relevant experience in marketing.
CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing
Any business or marketing Bachelors or a Masters Degree (or equivalent qualification) where a minimum of one third of the credits come from marketing.
(i.e 120 credits in Bachelor’s degrees or 60 credits with Masters degrees) or experience in a marketing management role that has provided potential students with ability to evidence that they can meet the learning outcomes from the Professional Certificate in Marketing
The Chartered Institute of Marketing exercises its right to formally approve prior experience and learning.

Certificate: One evening per week (Wednesday 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm) and each module has two Saturday Support Sessions.
Three intakes per year in September/January/April.
Diploma: One evening per week (Tuesday 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm) and each module has two Saturday Support Sessions.
Three intakes per year in September/January/April.
Certificate: £1650 or £580 per module
Diploma: £1700 or £600 per module
