Student ambassadors

The principal role of a Student Ambassador is to engage with potential and prospective students.
They provide information and advice from a student-centred viewpoint which will help break down barriers and increase awareness and confidence.
Student Ambassadors work flexible hours as required to assist us in areas such as:
- providing informative campus tours to prospective students, their parents, careers advisers and the general public;
- representing Glyndŵr University at open days, HE and careers fairs, visits to schools, colleges and community groups, and other events in a wide variety of locations;
- making presentations about student life.
As a Student Ambassador you will:
- develop and refine leadership and communication skills;
- gain experience in public relations;
- enhance your curriculum vitae by including this widely recognised role;
- make new friends.
A Student Ambassador will possess:
- a positive personality and an enthusiasm for Glyndŵr University;
- strong communication skills and initiative;
- the ability to work as a team member.
In return Glyndŵr University will:
- pay for your services - currently ₤7.00 per hour;
- provide you with induction and continuing training and support, to ensure you have up-to-date knowledge about the University and about how to perform the role of Ambassador effectively.
Whatever programme you are studying at Glyndŵr University you are eligible to apply for the role of Student Ambassador.
